Often, parents and teenagers have communication issues. As teenagers in school are going through a transitional time in life, sometimes balancing the pressure of school and their social lives can prove to be too much. Things can get even worse if they feel that their parents do not understand them or are unsupportive. This is when they tend to clash and arguments ensue. One woman decided to show her daughter some support in a medium that is best accepted by teenagers these days: Snapchat.

When Hannah was feeling a bit stressed out about school and grades after failing a math test, her mother decided to show her some support and sent her an adorable message through Snapchat’s inside messaging system. She shared encouraging and loving words with her and even incorporated some humor into the message. Hannah shared her mother’s message with the world on Twitter and the post instantly went viral.

Here is the adorable post:

Many students may be afraid to tell their parents when they fail a test, but Hannah’s mother decided to show her support instead of anger. Her mother stressed that the most important thing for her is her daughter’s happiness and well being. It was very kind of her to comfort her daughter rather than chastise her. Perhaps she was trying to emphasize that sometimes in life we learn from our failures.

One thing that Hannah was quick to clarify was the fact that she does not actually have a 2.0 grade point average, and that her mother was just speaking hypothetically:

As is expected from the Internet, once Hannah’s post went viral, people of Twitter were quick to share their responses. One girl was so moved by the mother’s Snapchat message that she asked whether she could adopt her:

Another user shared the fact that her own mother would not have been quite as understanding about failing a test:
